🎯 About the Role

As a Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights for business users and decision-makers. You will work closely with data engineers, business teams, and stakeholders to design, build, and maintain analytics solutions that support operational and strategic goals.

This role goes beyond dashboard creation—it involves working with ETL pipelines, optimizing SQL queries, applying data modeling best practices, and ensuring data quality and governance across reporting systems.

The position supports a 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift, collaborating with global teams and supporting production analytics environments.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple data sources

• Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for large-scale data environments

• Building interactive and performance-optimized Power BI dashboards and reports

• Implementing Power BI data models, including relationships, measures, and calculations using DAX

• Applying best practices for data modeling, including star and snowflake schemas

• Monitoring and troubleshooting ETL workflows to ensure data accuracy and reliability

• Collaborating with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards

• Performing performance tuning for ETL jobs, SQL queries, and Power BI reports

• Documenting data flows, ETL logic, and reporting processes for long-term maintainability

• Supporting production deployments and providing on-call assistance during assigned shift hours

This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and clear communication.

🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

• Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced joins, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures

• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including:

  • DAX

  • Power Query

  • Data modeling and performance optimization

• Practical experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent platforms

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices

• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing ETL workflows

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines for data and BI solutions

• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, global environment

• Comfort working in a 2 PM – 11 PM IST shift

⭐ Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

While not mandatory, the following skills are a strong advantage:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:

  • Lakehouse

  • OneLake

  • Dataflows Gen2

• Exposure to modern cloud-based analytics platforms
