The Data Analyst role is central to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used across Cision’s reporting and analytics solutions. In this position, you will support the coding and report creation process across all phases, helping establish a strong foundation of high-quality data.

You will work closely with senior analysts, team leads, and coding teams to manage workflows, validate data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to both quantitative and qualitative insights. 🛠 Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at Cision, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring coding and analysis production is consistent, accurate, and aligned with strict delivery timelines

• Tracking performance metrics and enforcing quality standards across deliverables

• Providing guidance and constructive feedback to junior coding teams, supporting continuous improvement and skill development

• Managing content searches and upload processes while prioritizing coding tasks effectively

• Performing regular data checks and validations with a strong understanding of project coding structures

• Utilizing knowledge of data flow and internal tools to troubleshoot issues and resolve data discrepancies

• Reporting regularly to managers and maintaining open communication to prioritize tasks and manage workflows

• Contributing to assigned reports using established templates and tools

• Generating charts, researching data, and writing robust qualitative insights to support reporting outcomes

• Taking ownership of initial data exports and assisting with charting and report production as needed

• Providing daily operational support to Senior Analysts and Team Leads, including contact management, data verification, and report preparation

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or

• 1–2 years of experience in coding, query writing, data analysis, or reporting roles

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis

• Experience using PowerPoint for presenting insights and reports

• Familiarity with data queries, coding structures, and analytical workflows

Professional & Soft Skills

• Strong command of English (written and verbal)

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines

• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Willingness to learn tools, processes, and reporting standards quickly

A background in professional writing or reporting is a strong advantage for this role.
