🎯 About the Role

As an Engineer – Software Test Automation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, robustness, and reliability of KLA’s software products. You will be deeply involved across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis to test execution and deployment support.

The role requires close collaboration with global teams (India, Germany, Israel), hardware engineers, system architects, and application teams to align testing strategies with real-world system requirements.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Gain strong domain knowledge of KLA LIS products

• Participate fully in the SDLC, defining test scenarios and automating them using KLA’s automation frameworks

• Prepare Software Test Plans (STP) and Software Test Design (STD) documents

• Execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality and robustness

• Collaborate with hardware, system, and application teams to map system requirements to testing needs

• Identify, analyze, and document software defects and test results

• Work closely with developers to enhance and improve software quality

• Review software designs, specifications, and change requests for testability and traceability

• Develop and maintain quality standards, testing processes, and methodologies

• Participate in deployment and troubleshooting at customer sites

• Recommend improvements to enhance user experience and system reliability

• Ensure corrective actions meet defined quality standards

🧠 Skills & Qualifications

🎓 Education & Experience

• BE / BTech / BS degree required

• 1+ year of experience in Software Testing or Test Automation

💻 Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC and software engineering principles

• Hands-on experience with Automated and Manual Testing

• Experience in C# or Python (C# preferred)

• Experience with automation frameworks such as:

  • FlaUI

  • MS CodedUI

  • Selenium

  • Appium

• Experience working with large software systems or tool-based applications

• Knowledge of semiconductor domain is a plus, but not mandatory
