🎯 About the Role
As an Associate Engineer – SW Design, you will join the Bluetooth R&D team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining Bluetooth protocol stack software for both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The team builds standards-compliant, interoperable Bluetooth solutions that support a wide range of use cases, including data connectivity, device control, and advanced audio features.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will design, implement, debug, and maintain Bluetooth stack features with a strong focus on correctness, performance, and maintainability. You will work closely with controller, PHY/RF, systems, validation, and customer-facing teams across global locations, gaining exposure to end-to-end wireless system development.
The role also encourages a modern development mindset, including iterative problem solving, effective use of development tools, and responsible adoption of AI-assisted development approaches to improve productivity and code quality.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Designing, developing, and maintaining Bluetooth protocol stack software for Bluetooth Classic and BLE

Implementing and enhancing Bluetooth features and profiles such as:

GATT
-
GAP
-
L2CAP
-
SMP
-
Audio-related profiles

Supporting a variety of Bluetooth use cases, including:

Data connectivity

Device control
-
Audio applications such as Classic Audio, HFP calling, and LE Audio

Debugging and resolving interoperability, qualification, and system-level issues
-
Collaborating closely with controller, systems, and validation teams to ensure reliable end-to-end Bluetooth functionality

Supporting customer issues through root-cause analysis and timely fixes

Contributing to technical documentation and internal knowledge sharing

Participating actively in the full software development lifecycle, from design to validation and maintenance

🧠 Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

Strong embedded software development experience using C and C++

Experience working with Bluetooth host stack components and protocols

Familiarity with RTOS-based systems and multi-threaded embedded software

Good understanding of MCU concepts, including:

Interrupts

Memory architecture

Peripheral interfaces

Awareness of memory and power optimization in embedded systems

Experience delivering embedded software features across the development lifecycle
Additional Competencies
