🎯 About the Role

The AI/ML DevOps Engineer role is a hands-on engineering position focused on building and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks to support enterprise AI platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will play a critical role in enabling application teams to onboard safely and efficiently onto a centralized AI platform, particularly within highly regulated environments such as banking and financial services.

This role blends deep technical execution—using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and security tooling—with cross-team coordination, ensuring smooth delivery, risk tracking, and continuous improvement. You will help standardize AI infrastructure, enforce governance guardrails, and accelerate AI adoption across multiple teams.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and maintaining Terraform-based IaC modules to provision Azure AI/ML services

• Creating reusable templates for services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Search, Key Vault, Storage, and networking components

• Automating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for Terraform plan/apply workflows

• Integrating approvals, secrets management, policy checks, and drift detection into deployment pipelines

• Implementing identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, including app registrations, RBAC, and group-based access models

• Supporting AKS-based deployments, including namespaces, ingress, container images, quotas, and platform integrations

• Embedding security and governance guardrails using Azure Policy, private endpoints, tagging strategies, and FinOps practices

• Implementing logging, monitoring, and compliance baselines for AI workloads

• Writing automation scripts using Python or Bash to support IaC tooling and deployment helpers

• Coordinating work through Kanban workflows, tracking risks, issues, and dependencies across teams
