🎯 About the Role: Product Security Engineer I

The Product Security Engineer I role sits at the heart of Infoblox’s security transformation efforts. You will safeguard applications, SaaS services, and on-prem solutions by identifying vulnerabilities, conducting threat modeling, performing penetration tests, and guiding development teams to build security into every stage of the SDLC.

This is a hands-on role designed for professionals with 0–2 years of experience who are eager to become security specialists. Your work will influence product design decisions, strengthen Infoblox’s security posture, and protect sensitive data across multi-cloud platforms.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct application security reviews, detailed security assessments, and penetration testing for SaaS and on-prem solutions—especially those involving DNS/DHCP protocols.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure secure coding practices and company-wide security standards.

• Integrate security requirements and threat-modeling outcomes throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Assist developers by offering guidance on secure design, threat mitigation, and security-focused decisions.

• Plan, execute, and analyze security assessments including code reviews, vulnerability scans, and application-level penetration testing.

• Translate penetration testing results into actionable remediation plans.

• Implement strong security controls including authentication, encryption, secure communication protocols, and access management.

• Leverage threat modeling insights to select appropriate security controls.

• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and application security best practices.

• Conduct training and workshops to promote secure coding and threat modeling awareness.

• Support the adoption of tools like SAST, DAST, Coverity, SonarQube, CodeQL, and Contrast.

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in vulnerability management, application security, or penetration testing.

• Strong understanding of application security principles, threat modeling frameworks, and secure coding practices.

• Hands-on knowledge of vulnerability assessment methodologies and testing frameworks.

• Development experience in Shell scripting, Python, or Golang is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, Azure, as well as Kubernetes and container-based environments.

• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities such as those in OWASP Top 10 and mitigation techniques.

• Experience using security testing tools (static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing suites).

• Understanding of SDLC standards and integration of security practices in agile workflows.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, encryption protocols, and secure communication.

• Awareness of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate security concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Certifications like CEH, OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, CSSLP are a plus.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
