🎯 About the Role
The Analyst – Software Engineering | Business Analyst I role is an integral part of Verisk India’s development team. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to transform insurance industry challenges into streamlined, high-quality product features.
This role bridges the gap between business users and engineering teams by gathering requirements, conducting analysis, supporting testing, and contributing to end-to-end solution development. With exposure to a complex suite of insurance products, this role is ideal for candidates who enjoy analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and collaborating in dynamic, cross-functional teams.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder & Requirements Management

Act as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Conduct requirement-gathering sessions via meetings, interviews, workshops, and observations.

Document business requirements clearly and comprehensively.

Perform requirement analysis to ensure functional clarity and alignment with business goals.
Testing Planning & Execution

Develop test strategies, plans, and scripts based on business and functional requirements.

Execute both manual and automated test cases to validate system behavior.

Conduct regression testing, performance testing, load testing, and stress testing.

Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and supporting business teams.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed documentation such as BRDs, test cases, user stories, defect logs, and reporting dashboards.

Provide timely updates on testing progress, requirement status, and issue resolution.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement

Work closely with developers, QA teams, product managers, and stakeholders.

Facilitate open communication to ensure seamless understanding of features and user expectations.

Support change management activities and help teams adopt new processes or updates.
Process Improvement & Data Analysis

Create process maps and workflow diagrams to visualize end-to-end processes.

Use data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights for decision-making.

Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies, requirement processes, and quality frameworks.
Training & Support

Provide training sessions to end-users and internal teams on new systems or functionalities.

Assist in smooth implementation and rollout by clarifying queries and offering post-deployment support.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in:

Professional Experience
