As a Data Engineer, you will support and test a cohesive data management strategy for both traditional and cloud-based solutions. You’ll work extensively with Data Lake capabilities, AWS cloud tools, and enterprise-level data governance frameworks.

This role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytical workflows for global business lines. It’s a highly collaborative position requiring strong technical skills, stakeholder engagement, and project management capabilities.

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver end-to-end analytical and data engineering support using Data Lake frameworks.

• Solve strategic and operational challenges through strong technical and problem-solving skills.

• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to define business scope and technical requirements.

• Ensure high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing, validation, and control processes.

• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through regular communication and follow-ups.

• Advocate and implement Data Lake processes aligned with enterprise standards.

• Maintain compliance with data and model governance policies.

• Work with Domain Owners and QA Leads to define a consistent testing strategy for curated data.

• Identify data quality gaps and develop remediation plans with appropriate prioritization.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industry experience in data engineering or related fields.

• Strong analytical and project management skills.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL (Athena preferred).

• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.

• Experience working with AWS cloud tools.

• Familiarity with Dataiku is an added advantage.

• Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging senior US stakeholders.

• Skilled in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Understanding of financial domain and industry trends.

• Ability to independently manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
