Role: Back End Java Developer – Associate
Location: Pune, India

This role focuses on designing, building, testing, and delivering backend applications that power core banking systems and internal platforms. You will work in an Agile scrum team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and play a key role in designing complex backend architectures.

This is a hybrid role involving hands-on coding, architecture discussions, cloud development, and technical mentoring.

🧠 What You’ll Be Doing

1. Design & Development

• Build scalable, maintainable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot

• Architect solutions for new features and enhancements

• Design microservices that integrate with external/internal APIs

2. Cloud & DevOps Engineering

• Work extensively on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Deploy applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift

• Use DevOps tools like Git, TeamCity, Maven, SONAR, Docker

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment

3. Agile Delivery

• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives

• Break down user stories into technical tasks

• Collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and product owners

4. Code Quality & Reviews

• Conduct peer code reviews

• Ensure clean coding, performance optimization, and reliability

• Maintain high standards of documentation and architectural patterns

5. Integration & System Architecture

• Integrate complex APIs using REST/SOAP/XML/JSON

• Use Kafka-based integration patterns

• Apply design patterns and best practices across modules

🎓 What They’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices

• Hands-on GCP cloud development

• Experience with API development & integration

• Solid understanding of design patterns and UML diagrams

• CI/CD experience (Git, Maven, Jira, Confluence, Docker, TeamCity)

• Working knowledge of Kafka, Agile frameworks

• Ability to guide/mentor junior engineers

Good to Have / Differentiators

• Experience with WSO2 / Apigee / Anthos API management

• Advanced DevOps skills including pipeline automation
