About the Role – Associate System Analyst

The Associate System Analyst position at SS&C is designed for early-career professionals who want to begin their journey in application monitoring, system readiness assessment, production support, and global trading environment operations.
This role involves monitoring mission-critical systems across APAC, EMEA, and NOAM regions and supporting global clients to ensure smooth, error-free trading and application performance.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers, operations teams, and client support teams to maintain application stability and continuously enhance efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

Monitoring & Operational Readiness

  • Proactively monitor client production environments and applications for performance and stability.

  • Ensure system readiness before and after trading market sessions across all global time zones.

  • Monitor FIX (Financial Information Exchange) connectivity and take corrective action when alerts arise.

Issue Management & Escalation

  • Respond to alerts with urgency and take appropriate actions—including resolving or escalating issues.

  • Escalate critical incidents to senior analysts when needed.

  • Document incidents and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Client Coordination & Communication

  • Assist in communicating status updates to clients via email and phone.

  • Support basic troubleshooting and provide timely updates.

  • Coordinate with internal product, engineering, and operations teams as needed.

Process & Efficiency Improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes.

  • Learn internal monitoring tools and industry-standard platforms.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and support knowledge-base development.

What They’re Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)

Technical Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, or software applications.

  • Familiarity with trading systems, FIX connectivity, or monitoring tools is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to learn.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to work in shifts, especially night shifts, supporting global markets.

  • Comfortable with a hybrid work model (as per company policy).

  • Open to working on weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays when required.
