💼 About the Role: Associate Technical Consultant

As an Associate Technical Consultant, you will work closely with merchants, developers, internal engineering teams, and CXOs to resolve integration challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless operation of Razorpay’s payment ecosystem.

This is a highly collaborative, customer-facing technical role that requires strong problem-solving, communication, and debugging skills.

🛠 Roles and Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Address technical queries related to APIs, Plugins, SDKs, and the complete Razorpay product suite

• Identify and analyze irregularities, unexpected behaviors, and product-level issues

• Deliver timely resolutions and ensure high customer satisfaction

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Communicate technical issues to merchants and internal engineering departments

• Work with Level 2/Level 3 support teams to handle complex cases

• Raise Jira tickets and collaborate with product & engineering teams for long-term fixes

• Maintain detailed case logs and updates in FreshDesk CRM

Merchant Advocacy

• Act as a subject matter expert on Razorpay’s implementations and best practices

• Enhance merchant experience by providing direct technical support—without escalating unnecessarily

• Travel to client sites when needed to resolve advanced integration issues

Quality & Best Practices

• Ensure accurate technical documentation

• Provide insights to improve product workflows, features, and merchant integrations

• Contribute to internal knowledge base and documentation

🎓 Mandatory Qualifications

• Ability to explain complex technical topics in simple language

• Strong analytical & logical thinking

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

• Strong understanding of web technologies & API concepts

• Ability to independently resolve issues with minimal dependency

• Good communication & interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of at least one frontend technology:
  HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Flutter, React Native

• Knowledge of at least one backend/server-side technology:
  Java, C++, Python, Go

• B.Tech/M.Tech with internship or project experience in tech

⭐ Good to Have

• Understanding of the payment gateway domain

• Knowledge of multiple Razorpay products and processes

• Ability to take quick decisions while advising clients or internal teams
