The Software Engineer – D&DC Land Systems role is a highly technical and hands-on opportunity where you will design, develop, debug, and enhance large-scale embedded and distributed systems.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working with system-level programming, OS internals, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to build high-performance, reliable, and scalable software solutions used in defense and industrial systems.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain software using C/C++ in multi-threaded, multi-process environments

• Work with real-time operating systems such as Linux, VxWorks, QNX

• Use tools & processes for debugging, integration, and performance optimization

• Analyze system scalability and interworking issues

• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex system-level bugs

• Support customer-site issues and contribute to system stabilization

• Design and implement tools that accelerate development and debugging workflows

• Work with distributed systems and inter-process communication mechanisms

• Develop diagnostic tools, built-in test codes, and reliability features

• Contribute to systems involving Serial, Ethernet, 1553, CAN, NMEA, ModBus and more

• Work with networking concepts like IP protocols, VLANs, Ethernet switching

• Collaborate in building large, complex software systems with high performance and reliability requirements

🧠 What They’re Looking For

Required Experience:

0 – 1 year (Freshers can apply)

Essential Skills & Knowledge

• Strong command of C and C++ programming

• Good understanding of Operating System principles (Linux, VxWorks, QNX)

• Experience with multi-threading & multi-processing

• Proficiency in Linux, inter-process communication, and Jira

• Understanding of distributed system development

• Knowledge of serial communication, Ethernet, CAN, 1553, NMEA, ModBus, etc.

• Familiarity with IP networking, VLANs, and switching

• Strong debugging, analytical, and system integration skills

• Good communication and multitasking abilities

Minimum Qualification

• B.Tech/B.E in Engineering (any relevant discipline)
