💼 About the Role

Glean is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer who can design, secure, and scale enterprise cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will architect secure systems primarily across AWS and Azure, identify vulnerabilities, and implement cloud-native security solutions.

You’ll also work on core security capabilities such as authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and audit logging (AAA). This role is a strong blend of cloud security engineering, software development, and strategic security design.

This position follows a hybrid model, with 3 days a week in Glean’s Bangalore office.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Glean, you will:

• Architect secure cloud solutions on AWS and Azure in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Identify security gaps, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities across cloud environments.

• Implement cloud-native security tools, frameworks, and controls.

• Analyze security logs and performance metrics to detect and respond to threats.

• Deploy and manage security controls such as:

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Network policies

  • Encryption at rest and in transit

• Develop security features related to:

  • Authentication

  • Authorization

  • Rate limiting

  • Audit logging

• Contribute engineering expertise to build secure platform features.

• Create documentation, security guidelines, and training material for internal teams.

🧠 What They’re Looking For

Glean is seeking candidates with strong cloud security engineering fundamentals and software engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will have:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Proficiency in at least one programming language:
  Python, Go, Java, C++

• Experience working with cloud platforms — preferably AWS or Azure

• Knowledge of cloud-native security tooling (IAM, VPC security, logging systems)

• Understanding of authentication/authorization technologies like OAuth, OpenID Connect

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in cloud-native development and DevSecOps practices

• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments

• A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ownership mindset

• Ability to collaborate in a high-velocity, cross-functional environment
