💼 About the Role

The Associate SDET I role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering robust automation test frameworks for Solera’s next-generation software platforms. These platforms span cutting-edge domains like:

• Computer vision

As part of the Software QA Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex, N-tier applications. This is an ideal role for early-career engineers looking to grow their expertise in automation, QA engineering, and scalable test frameworks.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

• Interpret functional requirements to develop, write, automate, and execute functional & data validation test plans.

• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to support TDD/CI/CD environments.

• Provide feedback for improving automation strategy and platform testability.

• Build solutions focusing on performance, quality, and reliability.

• Participate as an active member of Agile Scrum teams to ensure smooth technical execution.

• Document automation frameworks, interfaces, performance metrics, and test cases.

• Estimate effort and deliver tasks according to development milestones.

• Conduct defect management including issue identification, debugging, analysis, and reporting.

• Partner with development teams for code reviews, debugging, and unit-test collaboration.

• Lead or assist in data health analysis, consistency evaluations, and issue root-cause diagnosis.

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or 0–1+ years experience).

• 0–1+ years of experience as SDET/SDE/T or similar technical role.

• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle including code reviews, source control, and testing.

• Experience in C# or Java for development and testing.

• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks under guidance.

• Ability to implement end-to-end test scenarios.

• Understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to take ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with API/Backend testing.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
