💼 About the Role

As a Cloud Security Analyst, you will be part of Ford’s Enterprise Technology group focused on identifying, evaluating, and implementing cloud security tools and services across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.

The role involves collaborating with engineering, cloud, and security teams to support a secure public cloud ecosystem, remediate vulnerabilities, develop automation pipelines, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with Cloud Security team members to build automation for various workflows and audits including:

  • VPC Service Controls

  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

  • Policy Exceptions

  • Organization Policies

• Evaluate and implement tools to address emerging cloud security gaps.

• Work with Engineering, Platform, and EPEO Services teams to remediate vulnerabilities.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud security services for:

  • GCP Security Command Center

  • GCP/Azure Security Compliance

  • GCP VPC Service Control

  • GCP Cloud Armor / Azure WAF

• Document procedures, processes, and best practices.

• Support agile project planning and contribute to deliverables using tools like Rally.

🧠 What They’re Looking For

Desired Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Chef, OpenShift, Cloud Build, Tekton.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Experience in scripting/programming with:

  • Python

  • Go

  • Node.js

  • JavaScript

  • React / TypeScript

  • Angular

• Deep understanding of Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions.

• Solid knowledge of cloud security best practices for GCP and Azure.

• Expertise in secure use of cloud services such as:

  • GCP: IAM, VPCs, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, SCC, DLP, Cloud Armor

  • Azure: VMs, Virtual Networks, AAD, App Services, SQL DB, Key Vaults, AKS, Containers

Qualifications
