π― About the Role: Information Security Analyst
As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our enterprise systems, data, and infrastructure. You will be directly involved in security event monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, compliance documentation, and security operations.
This is a hands-on role that requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to security events while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

π Key Responsibilities
π Security Monitoring & Incident Response

Perform continuous network security monitoring to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

Investigate alerts, suspicious activities, and intrusion attempts using SIEM tools.

Document all incident handling activities and maintain accurate security logs.

Communicate potential compromises to relevant teams in a timely and professional manner.
π₯ SIEM & Threat Analysis

Monitor SIEM dashboards to identify security issues requiring remediation.

Write and maintain SIEM policy rule sets—including simplified matches and regex—where required.

Perform threat data correlation using open-source, proprietary, and classified sources.

Prepare analysis reports on methodologies, findings, and recommended countermeasures.
π‘ Vulnerability & Compliance Management

Configure, schedule, and analyze vulnerability scans to identify potential system risks.

Coordinate user account/access reviews and track remediation actions.

Gather compliance audit evidence in alignment with internal and external audit requirements.

Support the implementation of mitigating controls or countermeasures during incidents.
π Documentation & Operational Support

Prepare daily end-of-shift security reports and knowledge-transfer documentation.

Update and recommend improvements to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Follow escalation procedures and resolve problems independently where possible.

Assist teams by providing timely support for security-related requests and tickets within SLA.
π§ Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

1–2 years of experience in Networking, Cybersecurity, or IT Infrastructure (preferred).
Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring systems.

Understanding of networking fundamentals, intrusion detection, incident response, and log analysis.

Ability to write SIEM rules, interpret regex patterns, and run threat detection reports.

Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation best practices.
