🎯 About the Role – Engineer I (Quality & Testing)
As an Engineer I – Quality & Testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of Cencora’s software products. You will be part of a dynamic team that leverages both manual and automated testing frameworks, including Playwright, to ensure software meets rigorous quality standards.
This role involves analyzing requirements, designing test cases, performing functional and automation testing, and collaborating with developers and other QA engineers to drive continuous improvement in software quality.
🛠 Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution
-
Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning to understand functional and technical expectations.

Translate requirements, use cases, and user stories into detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts.

Execute test charters and analyze test session results.

Automation & Tooling
-
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Playwright (TypeScript).

Leverage automated testing frameworks to explore edge cases and improve testing efficiency.

Maintain CI/CD integration and cloud testing pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Defect Management & Reporting
-
Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.

Conduct root cause analysis and escalate issues as per standard protocols.

Generate monthly and quarterly QA metrics for leadership review.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and quality engineers to improve processes.

Recommend and implement changes to enhance testing effectiveness.

Research new testing technologies and approaches for continuous process improvement.

Test Environment & Documentation

Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments for manual and automated testing.

Document technical findings, test results, and recommendations for internal teams.

🧠 Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in system/software quality and testing.

Technical Skills:

Playwright (TypeScript) – must have

API testing (Postman, SoapUI, TestCollab)

Automation testing frameworks

Bug tracking tools

Programming knowledge: JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS (preferred)
