💼 About the Role — Embedded Engineer I
As an Embedded Engineer I, you will work with the Thunderbolt CoE (Center of Excellence) to design, develop, and integrate embedded platform software across aerospace products. You will handle complex technical problems and contribute to improving software quality, efficiency, and certification readiness.
📌 Key Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software for aerospace platforms.

Facilitate certification activities (DO-178C compliance optional).

Analyze and solve complex technical problems independently.

Develop Board Support Packages (BSPs), device drivers (ARINC 429, RS422, RS232, Ethernet), and middleware/network software.

Perform software design, development, testing, review, and integration on target hardware.
-
Collaborate with global teams and maintain high-quality technical deliverables.

Innovate in software architecture and design, while managing competing priorities.
🎓 Skills & Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-
BE/ME in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.

0–3 years’ experience in Real-Time Embedded Software development or system activities.

Proficiency in C, C++, assembly programming in bare-metal or RTOS environments.

Ability to manage priorities and deliver against project objectives.
Additional Qualifications

Strong embedded software development knowledge.

Proficiency in Deos™/RTOS/Linux or similar RTOS.

Familiarity with processor architectures such as Xilinx, NXP, PPC, ARM.

Knowledge of BSP, device drivers, middleware software, and network/communication stacks.
